Helping People Live Independently Through Person-Centred Support and Community-Based Living

we understand the unique support required by people living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). We offer a range of specialist care and support services that allow people with PWS to make their own choices and decisions with the consistent physical and emotional support they need to lead happy and healthy lives.

Our residential and supported living services are so much more than just a place to live. Our dedicated staff work hard to foster nurturing and welcoming environments that promote not only personal growth and positive communication but fun and enrichment as well.

We recognise that living with Prader-Willi Syndrome can make certain aspects of day to day life challenging and we’re here to provide unconditional care and support. Our multi-disciplinary teams are extensively trained in supporting the unique challenges of PWS including the safe provision of nutrition and hydration.

We strongly believe that with the right support and a welcoming community environment, people with PWS can maximise their potential and lead full and happy lives.

Our Residential and Supported Living Services

Within Liaise we provide a range of diverse residential and supported living services, all with unique design features and layouts. The goal of each of our homes is to provide a warm and welcoming environment that encourages people to develop rewarding relationships and learn independent living skills.

Each home provides varying levels of support depending on the needs of the people that live there. We encourage each individual to enjoy as much independence as possible with the reassurance that extra help is always available.

Our approach is always guided by the principles of “person-centredness”. This means the support we provide is always based on the specific needs, desires and ambitions of each individual.

Some of the Services We Provide Include:

  • Daily activity programmes tailored to the capabilities of each individual
  • Environments that are carefully adapted to meet the needs of the people that live there including food security
  • Support in finding employment, education or volunteering opportunities, where appropriate
  • Through opportunities and with guidance, we help each person to develop relationships that are meaningful to them
  • Outings and trips into the local community
  • Regular social events, both in home and in the community
  • Support that enables the growth of practical home-focused skills such as cooking, housework and decorating.
  • Each person is supported within a person-centred framework, to develop their community skills such as shopping, banking and the management of health appointments
